MASHA YANKOVSKAYA

The daughter of an architect and a teacher of fine art, Masha Yankovskaya was born and educated in St. Petersburg. A successful graduate of the St Petersburg State Johansson Academic Art Lyceum (as well as the Stieglitz Academy) with a degree in Costume Design, at 22 she launched her own clothing line, for which she drew sketches.

At 24, she moved to Moscow, got a job in the fashion world of Esquire magazine and held her first solo exhibition at the Winery. Four years later, she quit in order to finish a painting for an exhibition in Tallinn: “This is when I realized that I wanted to dedicate myself fully to art,” the artist pointed out. Masha has already held six successful solo exhibitions, with her paintings being showcased in galleries and private collections in Russia and abroad. Yankovskaya currently lives and works in Moscow.
